CSI Now Offers Polygraph Examinations:

No one can be forced to take a polygraph examination. All tests must be voluntary. Situations that call for complete honesty/truthfulness in order to confirm or exonerate a persons involvement in a possible wrong doing will find this technique of great value. These tests are considered 98% or higher factual.

Our Polygraph examiner is a certified Forensic Polygraphist. He has over 17 years of experience and is licensed by the State of Maryland.

A Polygraph Examination has 3 phases that the test subject will go through.

1) Pre-Test Interview

The first stage is the pretest phase where the polygraphist will obtain your written permission to take a polygraph examination, determine your suitability to take a polygraph test by going through a background form with you and the polygraph is explained in detail to you. You and the polygraph examiner will then talk about the circumstances surrounding the issue of why you are taking a polygraph test.

2) Polygraph Testing Phase

The second stage is the test phase where the examiner will prepare the test questions and review them all with you prior to the actual testing. You are then attached to the polygraph and only the reviewed questions will be asked on your test. The attachments simultaneously record physiological responses, which can be analyzed by the examiner.

3) Analysis and Results

The third phase is where the examiner will do an analysis of the polygraphs and from that, will come to an opinion

Common Questions

How many questions can I ask?

You may have seen Polygraph on television where a barrage of questions are put to an examinee. That is merely for entertainment. In a real polygraph test, to obtain the best and most accurate results, each test is narrowed down to one particular issue. Most tests are narrowed down to 2 or 3 Relevant Questions about that single issue. The important part to remember is that you can't mix issues. You can't ask about whether they stole apples and oranges in the same test. Unless of course you just wanted to know whether they stole any fruit, regardless of what kind.

How much will the polygraph test cost?

The cost for each test can range from $700-$1000 and will be determined at your consultation. It depends on the type of test you are requesting and the amount of time it will take. We do require a deposit of half the polygraph fees at the time the appointment is made. You must mail us a check or money order for the deposit and then we will make the appointment after we receive the deposit or your check clears if paying that method. If you do not show up to the appointment, you forfeit your deposit. If you call and cancel at least 48 hours prior to your appointment, we will refund your deposit. These prices apply primarily to the private sector. Multiple testing for a business or government agency will be negotiated separately.

Do you accept Credit Cards?

At this time, no. However that may be an option in the future.

How long do they take?

Total time you are with the polygraph examiner is usually 2-3 hours depending on the issue

How are Polygraphs taken?

Polygraph components are placed across the chest, on your fingers and a cardio (blood pressure) cuff is placed on the arm.

If I'm nervous will that affect the test?

It is natural to be nervous when taking a polygraph test and the examiner realizes this. Nervousness doesn't not normally interfere with the test procedure. There are never any surprise questions asked on a polygraph examination.
